When it comes to wearing workout clothes, there’s no question that I spend most of my life in some sort of stretchy lycra. Walking down the street in bright stripes, or crazy pink patterns is considered pretty normal these days, which works perfectly for my wardrobe. Athletic and athleisure ware is something I’ve become more and more invested in, so I thought I’d make these lookbooks a monthly feature, to show you the kit I’m loving and where you can get it! My incredible sister Sadie founded an online activewear shop Hip & Healthy which is where almost every piece I buy is from, they truly have the best kit.. and that’s not just sisterly bias…
This is one of my go-to looks on a lazy Sunday. My routine almost always starts with a Yoga class with my best friend, before we catch up over large almond milk cappuccinos and my favourite avocado-egg brunch at my local. This look combines the perfect legging staple from Sea Folly, colour co-ordinating with my Pink APL shoes and a cosy Hey Holla jumper to keep warm.
Loud and Proud
A slightly bolder legging for a powerful gym session. These bright Piper- Pink Lemonade Lilybod leggings are pretty eye-catching, making them perfect to spunk up a gym look. I tend to compliment the leggings with a white top and white trainers or keep things dark with black.
This is a go-to Ballet Blast look; pretty, graceful and fun. These matching Imanee printed leggings and Ashanti printed bra are from Roxy, they fit well and are incredibly comfortable. I do love a good pastel workout look, as it’s easy to make chic with a thick grey coat and some nude ballerina pumps.
I worked on a campaign recently that’s colour scheme was sole lavender, it’s a colour up until that point I never really rated or wore. Since then it’s a colour I actively look out for, and have started to buy a lot more of. This outfit is ideal for a run; it’s lightweight and flexible. The jacket is from LNDR, it’s water resistant and with its beautiful lilac shimmer, very easy to spot. These awesome mesh leggings are from Alo Yoga, they are an extremely good fit, comfortable and flattering. To finish the outfit off I’m wearing my Lilac APL shoes.
These Brodi Curve Panel Leggings from Lanston are hands down the comfiest of the selection. They’re incredibly soft, and with the panelled effect running down the leg, extremely flattering. My boyfriend took these photos, and can attest to these being an overall favourite..! As you can tell by now, anything blush I love – so these APL trainers are what I’m living in at the moment. They’re comfy, and have an incredible spring to them. The final accessory I’m loving is this Grey MZ Wallace backpack, it’s spacious so can fit in my gym life and work life, and comfy enough to transport it all on my back!
This Months Go-To
This is the outfit I’ve been absolutely living in all month. My favourite Zoe leggings in runway black from Lilybod paired with some non-workout items; Clarkes shoes and Topshop off the shoulder blush top. This is my favourite colour palette and an easy outfit to wear from the gym to a lunch date.
