As I’m sure you all know by now, I’m a BIG snacker! When I’m not snacking on my Naturally Sassy Food snacks, you’ll often find me concocting something nutty and sweet. This roasted maple-tamari almonds is the epitome of my ultimate mid-afternoon snack. They take no-time to make and are so moorish. Almonds are an amazing source of plant-protein, with one cup equating to roughly 32 grams of protein: more than a steak, and the same as four large eggs – pretty amazing if you ask me!
The Ingredients
2 cups almonds
2 tablespoons tamari
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
Method
Pre-heat the oven to 190 degrees celsius. In a bowl mix all the ingredients until the almonds are totally coated. Line a roasting tray with parchment paper and evenly spread the almonds out. Pop in the oven to cook for around 6 minutes until crisped up. Remove from the oven and let cool and crisp up!
