Smoothies and shakes are a daily happening in my kitchen, they pack in a lot of nutrition, and after a workout are a brilliant way to get some good quality protein. One of the reasons I find this to be such a useful tool, other than the ease factor, is for my appetite. In the morning, big meals make me feel quite sluggish and sleepy as my body digests the food. Blending it up gives digestion a little helping hand, and is a lot lighter in the body!
The Ingredients
2 tablespoons cashews
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 pear, chopped
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2-1 cup oat milk (volume depends on if you like your smoothies thick or thinner)
Method
Add everything to a blender, and blend until smooth!
